I really enjoyed the book Nura and the Immortal palace. This was a relatively quick read for me and I would rate it a 9/10. Nura and the Immortal palace tells the story of a 12 year old Mica miner and her best friend. Mica mining is everyday life for Nura and though it’s not what she wants to do, she feels it is her duty to support her family. Nura dreams of a life of luxury, though she knows it will never happen without an education. However, one day when Nura digs too deep trying to find an extra big piece of mica, and the tunnels collapse on her friends. she finds a portal to another world when looking for her best friend Faisal. Nura goes through the portal and finds a world of Jinn ( untrustworthy creatures who are famous for being tricksters in her world). When she is claimed to be the guest of honor at a luxurious hotel called the Siji Palace, her dreams all come true. She is fed delicious food and is treated like a princess. Unfortunately, it was too good to be true and the Jinn have trapped her in the hotel to work for them forever. Even worse,by the third day of being trapped at the Siji Palace, she will lose her memory of everything, even her beloved family. Therefore, she must race the clock to find a way out of the palace and save all of the other children who have been trapped in it too. Do you think Nura can escape? Read this book to find out!
