“No Fixed Address”

I enjoyed the book ” No Fixed Address”. It narrates the story of a boy, living with his mom in a van. His name is Felix and his favorite show is called Who, What, When, Where ( a trivia game). He even named his hamster after the host of it ( Horatio Blass). Felix is also just as good or better than every one of the contestants. He didn’t always live in a van. It was more of a recent arrangement and was frequently called a vacation by his mom. However after Astrid ( his mom) loses job after job they have to settle into a van “gifted” to them by Felix’s mom’s ex-boyfriend. The good thing about this arrangement is that Felix gets to go to a new school with a French Immersion class which Felix miraculously gets into. Little does he know that his old best friend goes to the same school. After seeing each other, they soon reconnect. Felix also makes a new friend named Winnie who is almost as gifted at trivia as him. As he starts to grow closer with his friends it becomes harder and harder to conceal his awful living arrangement. One day, he and his friends see an ad for a junior edition of Who, What, When, Where. They immediately take a quiz for it and Felix and Winnie both make it into auditions for the show. Felix, amazingly, gets placed into a spot in the show and he is thrilled. However, things at home start to get worse and he wonders how he can keep this secret from his friends and if he is doing the right thing. Read to find out!!!! This sounds really interesting. From a boy’s perspective, living in a van must be very different than for an adult. I have read several books on this and will be interested to compare and contrast them
