“The Rat Queen”

I thought that the book ” The Rat Queen” was a fun, and easy read. I thought that it could be a really good read for younger people around the ages of 8 but also for people much older in their 80’s or 90’s. The Rat Queen tells the story of a girl named Annike who lives in a neighborhood that her dad created specially for her. Her dad ( who she lives with, since her mother is “gone”) is from the magical country of Litvania. On Annie’s ( short for Annike) 10th birthday she receives a pad of paper and colored pencils. But that is not all, for Annie has also received permission to use her family’s secret ( called the Burna). The Burna eats up all your sins and makes you feel better about yourself, all you have to do is write what you did down and shove it into a hole that feeds it to the Burna. However, Annie starts to notice weird things happening soon after. She doesn’t seem to be growing, and there is an abundance of rats all over. She also starts to wonder about her mom and what the Burna really is. Read this book to find out much more amazing and intriguing stuff about Annie and her father.

I am not 8 and I am not 80. Do you think I can read it even if I am only 75?
