“Wildwood” ( Book one of the Wildwood Chronicles)

Wildwood is an enchanting book, perfect for whatever mood you are in. I would rate it a 10/10 and recommend it for audiences ten and up. Wildwood tells the story of a 12 year old girl named Prue, her baby brother ( Mac), and her friend ( Curtis). One day, Prue and her brother are at a park, playing peacefully. That is, until, her brother, Mac, is abducted by a murder of crows. The crows fly Mac all the way into what the local residents of Portland call the “Impassable Wilderness”. Hence the name, the woods that Mac was flown into are seemingly impassible, and nobody ever goes there. But, since Prue has to rescue her brother, she knows she must go. However, while on her way to get her brother back, her classmate, Curtis, encounters her. After demanding that he must come too, and after Prue begrudgingly agrees, they venture into the wilderness. On the way, they meet many strange things like talking coyotes, birds, and much more. But soon, Prue realizes that her brother is part of a bigger plan. A plan that might mean the death of not only her brother, but the entire wood. Can Prue and Curtis stop this? Can they succeed? And, after coming out of the wood, will Prue and Curtis ever be the same? Read this amazing book to find out!
